Happy birthday, Mac! It's been four decades since Apple introduced its first computer, and the Mac is still a force to be reckoned with. According to CEO Tim Cook, today's Mac lineup is the best in the history of personal computers, marking a journey of continuous innovation.
"Mac changed everything when it was introduced 40 years ago, and through the years, it has done so again and again and again. Today's Mac lineup is the best in the history of the personal computer, and it's built on decades of revolutionary innovation. Happy birthday Mac!" expressed Tim Cook in a post on X.
Responding to Tim Cook's celebration, Nothing CEO Carl Pei shared his personal experience with a MacBook during his university days. Despite being mocked by a classmate who argued about overpaying for supposedly inferior specs compared to a Windows laptop, Pei emphasized that it's all about the experience.
"I remember getting a MacBook Pro in university and being mocked by my classmate who claimed I overpaid for inferior specs compared to his Windows laptop. I explained that it was about the experience – the metal chassis, no lid flex, and that big glass trackpad. Sadly, all I got back was a blank stare."
Reflecting on earlier experiences with Apple products, Pei noted, "Before that, the transparent iMac G3 design and playing Prince of Persia on the Macintosh left big impressions on me. What a journey... Happy 40th birthday, Mac."
As we celebrate the Mac's 40th birthday, it's evident that its impact extends beyond mere specifications, emphasizing the unique and enduring experience it provides to users. Here's to four decades of Mac, and to many more years of groundbreaking innovation! 🎉🖥️ #HappyBirthdayMac #InnovationLegacy
